Lorensen Auto Group recently presented Connecticut Foodshare with an $18,500 donation representing proceeds from their annual Drive, Support, Deliver campaign in support of helping provide meals to Connecticut residents who are food insecure. Participating Lorensen Auto Group dealerships Acura of Avon, Acura of Milford, Honda of Watertown, Westbrook Honda, and Westbrook Toyota pledged a monetary donation for every car or truck sold between Black Friday and December 31, 2024.
The Connecticut-based auto group has collectively raised over $65k in support of the organization since 2021. Connecticut Foodshare supports individuals and families from one end of the state to the other by addressing root causes, creating long-term solutions, and distributing food to alleviate hunger.
“We are honored to be able to do our part in supporting our local communities. We are thankful for our loyal customers without whom this would not be possible,” says Sam Elmazi, President/Owner of Lorensen Auto Group. “This is just one example of the many ways we are driving hope in our communities”. “Connecticut Foodshare is grateful for the support from Lorensen Auto Group, supporting our food-insecure neighbors and friends. Over the last five years, the donations from Lorensen have helped us provide over 200,000 meals across the State,” says Tim Buzzee, Director of Corporate & Community Giving.
